Vendattas can happen within an online community when one person or group of people take retaliatory, vengeful or hostile actions against another person or group of people. Vendattas should be dealt with through community moderation and possibly termination of the offenders accounts. Vendattas, as with flamewars, can hijack and destroy a community if not dealt with swiftly and firmly.
